I'm wondering if it's possible to perform MS & FID analysis simultaneously in one file from samples that have been analyzed on both detectors (for example, after a splitter).
Possible use cases include identification by MS (instead of by template) for FID quantification by response factor or reporting blob FID volume with MS name.

You may identify peaks in MS data, create a template, and apply it to the FID data. If retention times are almost identical, template matching can be done with almost minimum distance thresholds.
Note that retention times between MD and FID may not be always identical even with a splitter. We recently worked with some user data like that. There are some delays to and at the MS detector. Fortunately the delays are constant and can be compensated when the data are imported.
