- How do I add a new calibrant to Calibrant Database?
- Choose Configure Menu > Mass Calibration > Mass Calibration Settings...
- Select Calibrant Database tab
- Press New, to open Calibrant Editor
- Fill in name and calibration ions data
- Press OK, to add the new calibrant to database
- How do I edit a calibrant in Calibrant Database?
- Choose Configure Menu > Mass Calibration > Mass Calibration Settings...

- Press Edit, to open Calibrant Editor

- Press Auto Assign ToFs to automatically centroid and assign matched calibration

- Use Manually Assign ToFs to interactively assign selected calibration
ions
- Choose Calibration Function Type and Polynomial Order if applicable
- Press Compute, then the new calibration function is shown below the current calibration function.
- Examine calculate mass accuracy and peak shape to remove ill-formed peaks and repeat Step 4-6.
- Press OK to add calibrator to the calibration model. This calibrator will
now be part of the model and used to calibrate spectra
- How do I assign ToFs to calibrator ions automatically?
- Open Calibrator Editor
- Select rows in table to be updated. (NOTE: If no rows selected, all rows will be
updated)
- Press Auto Assign ToFs to automatically assign ToFs based on Mass Calibration settings.
(NOTE: Any ion that could not be found in the spectrum will not be changed.)
- How do I assign ToFs to calibrator ions manually?
- Open Calibrator Editor
- Select a single row in calibrator table
- Select a single peak in the MS Viewer
- Press Manually Assign ToFs to centroid the peak based on Mass Calibration settings and
assign the calculated centroid to the selected row

- Choose Configure Menu > Mass Calibration > Current Calibration Model
- Select Analysis Calibration tab
- Select desired calibrator from the table
- Press View in toolbar, to show a quick view of the the calibrator's table and
graph

- Press Import button, to import a previously exported calibrator table (NOTE:
the new calibrators will be appended to the model.)
