Actually we are working on a feature like what you described. But, current version does not have such feature. Possible workarounds are Tune blob detection settings. You can use File > Import and Merge with either Column-by-Column or Cut-by-Cut. It should not take that long if the matching settings are reasonable. I just tested matching with about 700 blobs. It took about a couple of seconds.
