GC Image has deeply discounted, pre-release pricing on the new NIST 2026 Mass Spectral Libraries and Search Software (NIST26), which are scheduled for release on June 1, 2026. For NIST26, the EI and MS/MS libraries are sold separately or together. Our pre-release prices are:

NIST/EPA/NIH Electron Ionization Mass Spectral Library (NIST26 EI), $3095 for a new license and $2095 for a license upgrade from a previous version;
NIST MS/MS Mass Spectral Library (NIST26 MS/MS), $745;
Combined NIST26 EI+MS/MS Library, $3495 for a new license and $2495 for a license upgrade from a previous version; and
NIST GC Retention Index Library, $595.

NIST Electron Ionization Mass Spectral Library

The NIST/EPA/NIH Electron Ionization Mass Spectral Library (NIST26 EI) includes 431K electron ionization (EI) spectra, with 382K compounds and 49K replicate spectra. That is an increase of 35K new NIST measured and evaluated compounds. NIST26 EI includes 527K retention index (RI) values for 216K compounds, a 35K increase, and AI-RI estimates for all EI compounds. NIST26 also has expanded compound classes.

NIST26 EI consists of new and enhanced versions of:

NIST/EPA/NIH Electron Ionization Mass Spectral (EI) Library;
NIST non-spectral data;
NIST GC Method / Retention Index Library (also sold separately);
NIST Mass Spectral Search (MS Search) Program, with AI RI estimates for all EI compounds;
Hybrid Search, for compounds not found in the library and ID confirmation, with low or high resolution;
MS Interpreter, with low or high resolution; and
Automated Mass Spectral Deconvolution and Identification System (AMDIS), with low or high resolution.

NIST MS/MS Mass Spectral Library

The NIST26 MS/MS Mass Spectral Library (NIST26 MS/MS) contains more than 68K compounds, 33% more than the NIST23 library, with 567K precursor ions and 3.2M spectra. The NIST26 MS/MS Software includes MS/MS analysis tools: NISTMS, Hybrid Search, and MS Interpreter.

NIST GC Method / Retention Index Library

The NIST26 GC Retention Index Library (NIST26 RI) is included in the NIST26 EI Library, but is also available separately. The NIST GC Retention Index Library includes 527K retention indices for 216K compounds and AI RI estimates for all EI compounds.
